Logo Design Brief

We are developing Meridian International School and Golf Academy, a new British curriculum international school in Vientiane, Lao PDR, co-located with a golf club and built around an integrated golf academy. This logo will be the primary visual identity across campus, uniforms, signage, and admissions materials.

We are open to either one unified logo for both the school and golf academy, or two related logos (one primary, one for the golf academy) that clearly belong to the same family.

A reference image is attached. It shows a two-logo family in a premium, timeless, British-style crest style: a quartered shield topped with a star, laurel wreath on both sides, four symbols in the school shield (book, globe, golf flag, tree), a ribbon motto beneath the shield, and a serif wordmark below. The golf academy version uses a green and gold palette with a large center monogram. Please treat this as a reference for tone and craftsmanship only, not something to copy directly. We want an original, elegant mark, not a close variation.

Values to reflect: integrity, wisdom, leadership, global citizenship, academic excellence, and character built through golf and sport.

Symbolic ideas to consider (optional, not required): a tree, an open book, a globe, a golf flag. We'd rather see one or two handled well than all four crowded together.

Colour: open to your recommendation for a premium international school brand. Green and gold is a reference point, not a fixed requirement. Traditional Laos colours should be considered too.

Avoid: clip-art icons, generic stock golf imagery, neon colours, dated effects (gradients, drop shadows, 3D bevels), and anything resembling an existing school or club crest.
