Logo Design Brief
Hello everyone,
I’m currently working on a branding project for a French-style café offering takeaway food and pastries. It is not a traditional bakery, but rather a café with a strong French influence, focusing on high-quality coffee, artisanal pastries, and simple takeaway food.
The name of the project is Arôme Café (with a circumflex accent on the “Ô” in Arôme, which is very important as it reflects the French identity of the concept).
The café will aim to present high-quality, homemade-style products, positioned in the mid to upper quality range. The overall brand feeling should communicate craftsmanship, authenticity, and quality, while remaining clean, simple, and minimalistic in design.
I quite like the direction of the logo concept I previously shared, but I’m very open to different interpretations, ideas, and creative proposals. I would really appreciate seeing how each designer approaches the concept.
The café will be located in Agnes Water, Australia, and it could be interesting to see versions with and without “Agnes Water” mentioned in the design.
Please feel free to explore your creativity while keeping the design elegant, minimal, and refined.
The key elements are:
Name: Arôme Café
Accent: The circumflex accent on the Ô is mandatory

Updates
Although the concept is French-inspired, I would like to avoid anything cliché or stereotypical. Please do not use obvious symbols such as baguettes, croissants, or overly “touristic” representations of France.
If French elements are included, they should be very subtle and refined — for example a small touch of blue or a delicate reference to French culture — but always in a minimal, elegant, and understated way.
The overall idea is to keep the design classy, modern, and sophisticated, rather than playful or kitsch.

Hi everyone,
Just a quick update. In the brief we mentioned that the logo should simply say “Arôme Café.” However, we want to clarify that we are absolutely open to other ideas and creative directions if you think they could work well for the brand.
Please don’t feel restricted by the initial concept. We are curious to see your vision and we definitely don’t want to limit your creativity.
The only thing we would like to avoid is anything that feels too tacky or overly stereotypical. We’re aiming for something elegant, subtle, and refined.
