Bishop Auckland Film Festival - A logo for a new film and exciting film festival
Logo Design Brief
We need a logo for a film festival that includes the showcase of short films, celebrity interviews and premieres of feature films. The festival will be held in a historically working class area of England where the arts and culture are under represented. The area is proud of its roots, but aware that events like this are new to the region. So while we aim to inspire people to engage with filmmaking as well as entertain festival attendees and turn people on to good independent film, we also need to draw people in that might not know exactly what a film festival is.
Please include the colour scheme of image CDF and a representation of the clock tower in the BACT images.
We hope to present an image of prestige, without looking stuffy or pretentious. The festival is inclusive, fun and open to everyone.
Bishop Auckland is a town that is being considered for the UK "Town of Culture" award, so we'd like the logo to reflect an air of change in a town that's lacked creative outlets and opportunities but is now an exciting place to be with lots to look forward to.
Image BA1 is a good example of what I have in mind.
