Logo Design Brief
We are seeking an original logo design for The Providing Dad — a life insurance brand built specifically for fathers at every stage of life. This is not a corporate insurance brand. This is a movement for men who take their role as provider, protector, and leader seriously — from the 32-year-old who just bought his first home to the 58-year-old business owner thinking about the legacy he will leave his children and grandchildren.
The brand lives at the intersection of faith, family, and financial protection. It will appear on Meta ads, YouTube content, merchandise (hats, hoodies, t-shirts), email campaigns, and a full media presence targeting fathers across America.
Our audience is men aged 28–65. Faith-driven, hardworking, family-first. They relate to brands like Carhartt, Yeti, Huckberry, and Ducks Unlimited — not Allstate or Northwestern Mutual.
We want a timeless, masculine brand mark that a father would proudly wear on a hat or hoodie AND trust enough to click on in a Facebook ad. It should feel earned, not designed. Think less "insurance company" and more "men's lifestyle brand that protects families and builds legacies."
The father figure in this logo must feel ageless. Both a young dad and an older dad should see themselves in this mark. Avoid anything that skews exclusively young or exclusively old.
Design must convey: strength, protection, warmth, fatherhood, trust, integrity, and legacy. Modern but timeless — not trendy, not corporate.
Please avoid: shields used as a cliché insurance symbol, clipart or stock icon feel, anything resembling a traditional insurance logo, gradients, drop shadows, superhero or unrealistic body proportions, and script fonts.
Color guidance: No strict requirements — this is your creative canvas. The brand personality leans toward deep rich tones and a masculine palette. We are open to monochrome, two-color, or three-color treatments.
Optional tagline to incorporate or ignore at your discretion: Protecting What Matters Most.
Deliverables expected from winner: primary logo in full color, single color version, transparent PNG, vector file (SVG or EPS), horizontal lockup, and icon/mark only version.
Digital:
Favicon (16x16, 32x32 ICO or PNG) — for the website browser tab
Social profile image (1:1 square, 400x400px) — Facebook, Instagram, YouTube profile pic
Dark background version — logo reversed for use on black/navy backgrounds
Horizontal lockup — logo + text side by side for email headers and ad banners
Print/Merch:
Embroidery-ready file — simplified version with no thin lines (hat/hoodie shops need this)
1-color version in white — for dark merch printing
1-color version in black — for light merch printing
Brand Kit:
Brand color codes (HEX, RGB, CMYK) — so everything matches forever
Font names used in the logo — so you can match it in Canva, GHL, everywhere
Brand style guide (even a 1-pager) — colors, fonts, logo usage rules, spacing
