T-shirt Design Brief

I'm seeking recommendations for new employee t-shirts for our upcoming helicopter ride season. This year coincides with the United States' 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial), commemorating 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, with nationwide celebrations occurring throughout 2026 under initiatives such as America250 and Freedom 250.
We have a tradition of incorporating American flags into our shirt designs and would like to maintain that patriotic theme.
I am considering two primary design concepts:

A vintage military-inspired look evoking World War II-era aesthetics. This could feature an army green, khaki/tan, or olive gray shirt color, paired with classic stencil or block-style lettering reminiscent of WWII military fonts and markings for an authentic, historical feel.
A design that draws inspiration from the Continental Army uniforms of the Revolutionary War period (circa 1776). This might incorporate elements such as the iconic dark blue coats (often with contrasting facings in white, buff, red, or other regional colors), or symbolic references to colonial military attire, while integrating American flag motifs.

In both options, the back of the shirt should prominently feature the text "FLIGHT OPS" in a clear, bold style consistent with the overall design theme.
Please provide suggestions, including potential color palettes, font recommendations, layout ideas, and any visual mockup concepts that align with these directions while emphasizing patriotism and our aviation operations.
