Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my blog West of 84.

The logo should reference US Highway 84 (not an Interstate shield).

Design elements to include:
A US highway sign–style reference
A blacktop road with:
White edge stripe
Double yellow center stripes
A compass reference clearly indicating WEST

Style requirements:
Simple, clean, timeless
Mostly black and white
Yellow only for the road stripes
No bright colors or gradients
The logo should work well in a website header and be readable at small sizes.
What to avoid
Overly literal scenery (mountains, sunsets, cows, etc.)
Too many elements fighting for attention
Thin lines that disappear on mobile
Trendy fonts that will age badly

What works best for my brand
Understated
Masculine but not aggressive
Reflective, not flashy
Feels like a road you’ve been driving for decades

This logo should feel like:
A sign you pass without thinking — but remember years later.
Please provide final logo as SVG, plus PNG at 1200×400 and 400×120.
