Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for the forward hulls of a sailing catamaran named "Hello World". Aside from connoting friendly exploration, the term is well recognized among software developers, particularly ones who began their careers a few decades ago. (The owners of the vessel are retired software developers.)

In addition to the name, logo should incorporate icons/symbols from computer science that connote friendly exploration. Symbols from 1980's onward are acceptable. For example, logo might include a Google pin over a partially folded paper map.

Logo must be simple and clear enough to read from other boats. All viewers should appreciate the sense of exploration expressed in the logo, and other software developers should chuckle at the connection to computer science.

Ideally, "Hello World" appears in Courier New, a popular font of the 1980's.

Logo can be multi-colored, but one version must be B&W; or predominantly B&W and charcoal—the colors of the vessel. A splash of color in an otherwise B&W might work best.

Project photos show size and placement of a logo on a similar vessel, and its detail.
