Illustration Design Brief

About Us:
We are a new custom apparel brand based in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Our mission is to create high-quality, quirky, and fun t-shirts that celebrate the oddities, wildlife, and laid-back lifestyle of our region. Bluffton, SC — our hometown — is known for Southern charm, outdoor living, and its unique culture which is embodied in Bluffton's tag line "State of Mind".

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking original character illustrations that capture the playful, offbeat spirit of the Lowcountry. These characters will become part of a recurring series used across future t-shirt designs.

Style: Rudimentary, simplistic, fun, quirky, hand-drawn feel. Imperfect, rough-around-the-edges. Think “ugly-cute” — charmingly odd rather than polished.

Tone: Fun, approachable, and full of personality.

Format: A stand-alone character illustration (neutral pose). No background or scene is required at this stage.

Characters to Illustrate:
Please focus on one (or more) of the following:
- Alligator
- Possum
- Armadillo
- Deer

You may submit a single character or multiple — we will consider both individual entries and sets.
