Car Wrap Design Brief

UPDATE**
If the wrap doesnt go onto the canopy of the truck and avoids the door handles it's cheaper. I have starred some of the ones that I like so far. The wrap comes in 1500mm sheets so keeping the design to 750mm high saves on material cost. avoiding any areas where theres a badge or handle and avoiding going all the way to the bottom of the truck is good. Also interested to see a design that works with the swage lines of the vehicles please.

Maybe some gold colour could be sweet?


My friend designed me a logo-see attached) which itself is cool but I can’t make it look good on my vehicles! I have attached mock ups from the designer and I don't love them but can't say exactly why- They just don't look good to me...

I’m open to different suggestions ranging from simple to complex. Ideal though I guess would be something I could do in stages... get the basic info on without needing to spend heaps on the signwriting then be able to add more to the vehicles later if I book some more work. Of course if it looks great from that start that would be awesome too.

What I’ve found with the logo is that a mix of old school/classic and modern works… the website has timber panelling as the background. Flannel shirt style vibes.

I want it to suggest old school quality workmanship with modern tastes. Of course I could also be open to suggestions if someone wants to just get creative. I don't have a fixed idea yet for the brand. The truck is a silver Ford Ranger and the Van is a silver Toyota hiace- see photos.

Open to cool random shapes to blend/balance the design. Black and white with the attached copper was what I was thinking but the brand hasn’t launched yet so could really be guided from a cool truck design.

Opportunity for the right designer to work with me further to design clothing for me and the crew, signs for the brand too and even the website if I like your stuff.

All I know for sure is that the company is Zephyr Build Co so please help me make the visual side of the business great.

Must have

• Logo (Zephyr Build Co attached). If the logo doesn’t work at all I’m even open to a new logo! Just want it to look great on the vehicles, roadside signs and clothing… I want the website to be on their I think- www.zephyrbuild.com,

Nice to have

• I want it to say something that lets people know I’m a builder, a phrase like “Professional builders for every project” or “Builders you can trust”. It could say “Raglan" which is the town I'm from and could even have a symbol? Just want it to look rad!

Should not have

• It would be good if I don’t have to wrap the whole thing as this will be pricey
