Graphic Design Brief

I would like a logo for a new aesthetics and wellness business that I'm going to be setting up in the UK. I'm from Manchester and the name, 'The Cotton Hive Clinic', acknowledges these routes as Manchester was the heart of the industrial revolution with it's cotton mills, it's an industrial city. The bee is the symbol of Manchester that became more prominent after the Manchester bombing, for us it signifies our community spirit. I'd like a logo that brings these two aspects together.

I'm a male aesthetics practitioner and I want to utilise this as a unique selling point to appeal to male clients whilst also ensuring that I don't exclude female clients who make up the vast majority of people who access aesthetics and wellness. My target audience is mid to high end earners. Market research suggests these are the kind of client who will want a brand that has an identity rather than just providing the cheapest service.

When providing my services I'll be enhancing people's natural beauty. I don't agree with excessive work that makes people unrecognisable as we all have our own beauty; we just sometimes want to enhance it and that's what service I want to provide.

I'll want a logo with 'The Cotton Hive Clinic' underneath as in the images but I'll also need a logo that I could have embroided onto our scrubs as well as have on certain touch points (frosting in glass etc) without the words. The logo needs to make sense without the words and I feel that some of the images I've attached do that quite well when I take away the wording underneath.

I've included a briefing document that includes a link to a song that really reaches to my mancunian routes, I've also included a link to a poem that was created after the Manchester bombings. For me both of these pieces signify what it means to be Mancunian and feel they may be good inspiration. I've also included some AI generated images that I do like the look of and wouldn't mind images that refined this with a personal touch rather than just AI generated.
