Logo Design Brief

I have used the 2 designs attached for the past few years and find it very difficult to use across different mediums, like print, vehicle decals, embroidery on hats/shirts. the 6 sided badge was supposed to simulate the plate that Contractors put on their buildings when finished. Unfortunately it doesn't work very well or is over-complicated. The colors we've used have been blue, black, white and yellow. It needs to be simplified and streamlined
