About Us
knitli is an AI SaaS startup that empowers users by seamlessly integrating various AI technologies into a superior user experience. We bring together different AI capabilities, data organization, and custom assistants into one cohesive platform, making complex AI interactions more accessible, useful, and enjoyable for average users.
Logo Requirements
We're seeking a minimalist, modern logo design that conveys thoughtful integration while remaining approachable. The logo should work well across digital platforms, in both light and dark modes, scale effectively from app icons to website headers, and work well in both color and monochrome.
Design Elements
- Name Treatment: Our brand is "knitli" (all lowercase). We're open to creative presentations that emphasize the interconnected nature of "knit" with the "li" domain. The connection between these elements should feel natural and deliberate.
- Colors: Open to suggestions, but we're drawn to a balance of tech-forward colors with warmer tones. Possibly deep blues (#0D224F), warming accents like rust or terracotta, with selective use of modern highlights. We aren't afraid of color.
- Symbol/Icon: A visual element that represents the integration or "knitting together" of different components into a cohesive whole
- Feel: Modern, tech-forward, but with a crafted, intentional quality (in a similar style to those of OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude, Perplexity, Google Gemini… though with more warmth and a sense of craftsmanship)
Key Concepts to Convey (choose one or more)
- Seamlessly integrating different AI technologies
- Creating structure and patterns from individual threads/components
- Enhancing AI interactions through thoughtful design
- Crafting superior user experiences with attention to detail
- Bringing harmony to complex technologies
What to Avoid
- Generic AI symbols (brain icons, robot faces, circuit board patterns)
- Literal yarn or knitting needles that feel too crafty rather than tech-forward
- Overly complex or busy designs — we want simple, tech forward, modern with a human touch
- Anything that resembles existing AI or integration service logos
NEW/ADDED 30 March:
Based on the submissions we've had so far, we wanted to provide more information about the what makes a successful design. We want a design that:
1) Includes both a logo and wordmark.
2) Logo. The logo MUST be clearly distinguishable at both small sizes (such as a favicon), moderate size (iOS/Android icon), and large (signs). It MUST also be effective and distinctive in color and monochrome. Many app stores require monochrome icons.
3) Creatively balances elements representing BOTH a) technical precision and capability (such as sharp, clean lines; thick sans serif text, strong and cold colors (i.e. deep blues) AND b) elements representing human connection, creativity and warmth (such as warm oranges like rust or terracotta, handwriting style or curvier fonts (while still remaining strong and professional), curves and woven representations).
4) Balances these 'human' and 'machine/AI' elements at all levels -- within the logo, in the wordmark, and with both together as a whole.
5) Elements representing connectedness should use warm, sentimental, human elements (not the cold, technical, digital elements). We see the 'knitting' metaphor as inherently warm -- knitting makes us think warm thoughts of grandmothers.
The core brand identity is about bringing human-first design and connection to AI tools. Successful designs 'knit' these elements together across the logo and wordmark.
—— UPDATE 2 — 2 April —
After some of your helpful suggestions, we decided to style the company name as “knitli” instead of “knit.li” (no dot). Please include this change in future designs.
