We work with a national Australian Hunting organisation that is involved in research projects, environmental repair and hunting advocacy. Our logo is functional but tired and we seek a new simplified look to take us into the next 20 years. We plan to keep the old logo in service but use the new logo for outreach projects into new markets. We are thinking of just using the initials APDHA with a boars profile in some negative space within one of the letters if possible. We are also open to any other interpretations. The logo can be multi-coloured or just white on black or black on white. The boar's head or body in profile can be accurate or an interpretation. It can be subtle and shouldn't be overpowering. We have established environmental credentials, a function of our data and sample gathering for major environmental studies so we'd like you to consider something that might match perceptions of a 'greener' political view as opposed to straight forward hunting.

This project just hasn’t achieved its objective. We want a simple design for sure but the style of boar art used in the negative space in one of the letters APDHA is central to what we seek to achieve. It doesn’t have to be photo realistic. It can be symbolic and we certainly aren’t looking for cartoonish. Rather than just cutting and pasting clip art into the space, we had hoped for a bit more from the designer themselves. That might be the result of a poor brief on our part so we hope this helps. We have a formal logo for our organisation but we are looking for a second design option to use on merch or special projects. Big fat letters for APDHA, with the negative space probably in the D to be a representation of a bowed head or skull. That boar head, skull or set of tusks could late be used as a stand alone symbol.
