Packaging Design Brief
We, Central Coffee Roasting LLC, are a coffee roasting company and a subsidiary of "Premium" Corporation, a multi-business enterprise based in Mongolia. Premium Corporation operates across various sectors, focusing on consumer retail and construction materials, and is known for its high standards and quality.
Our company roasts high-quality coffee beans and supplies fresh coffee to CU, the largest convenience store chain in Mongolia, as well as to coffee shops, HoReCa and corporate offices. Our goal is to become a leader in the Mongolian coffee market by offering premium coffee products driven by our passion for excellence.
Project Overview
We are launching a premium retail coffee brand called "Origin", with a focus on elegant and high-quality packaging. We want the packaging to be visually appealing, reflect our premium quality, and establish our brand as a key player in the market.
Packaging Requirements
We need packaging designs for:
3 product lines in 1kg "bag" packaging for the B2B market.
4-5 product lines in 250g and 500g "rigid box" for the B2C market (store shelves).
Types of Coffee
Milkyway Blend: A special blend crafted for latte coffee.
Supernova Blend: Ideal blend for espresso.
Main design for Single Origins: We have various single-origin coffee beans. We plan to use a removable sticker on the packaging to indicate the specific origin for each batch.

Our competitors include both international and local brands:
International Brands: Starbucks, Segafredo, Lavazza, Luscioux, Tchibo, Jacobs, etc.

Design Expectations
The design should distinguish each coffee type (Main design for Single Origins, Milkyway Blend, and Supernova Blend) while maintaining a cohesive brand identity across all product lines.
The 1kg bag packaging should target the B2B market (coffee shops, HoReCa), while the 250g and 500g box packaging should be designed for the B2C market (retail shelves).
We currently only have our logo and no additional visual assets. We welcome suggestions for adding symbols or graphic elements that can strengthen our brand identity.
Updates
Low design quality
The designs we’ve received so far don’t have a premium look. While they’re fine for coffee bag packaging, I’d like to encourage designers to focus more on box packaging for coffee beans. Our new brand places greater emphasis on packaging compared to our competitors, most of whom use bag packaging. Since our ORIGIN brand and product are both premium, I want the packaging to reflect that by looking premium and fresh as well.
