Graphic Design Brief

Personal project. We are trying to take an old photo and "Posterize" into just two levels of grayscale: black and white so that we can give it to a laser engraver to be used as the basis for a design on leather. The two people need to be isolated from any background...ie pull out the people silhouette and discard the rest. The original photo needs to progress to the binary black and white style of the Obama example.
