Logo Design Brief

DwyerIQ is a tech startup focused on developing innovative AI-driven hardware and software products for the pro-consumer market. Our mission is to deliver advanced AI-powered functionality combined with exceptional design and user experience.

Examples of our offerings may include: Ham radio/RF hardware products, AI based tools, and advanced game and flight simulator hardware/software (Digital Combat Simulator and MSFS)

We are seeking assistance in creating a logo, color palette, and brand guide that embody our core values: innovation, quality, and community. Simplicity and timelessness are key to the design, ensuring a professional and approachable aesthetic.

Please refer to the attached document for additional company details and examples of logos that align with our vision. Some examples are RIGOL, HEALTHY, TEKTRONIX, GE, ICOM, YEASU.

The core idea revolves around a "word-only" logo centered on DwyerIQ. However, I'm impressed by submissions featuring custom fonts and subtle creative flourishes. Aim for smart and clever designs that balance:

Requirements

Must have

• Open to alternative creative ideas to convey what I need. This is a start - A color palette that complements the blue key color. The logo should look good and be eye-catching in both color and black and white. The logo should work over any color background. 3 color most likely preferred (black, white, blue for example)

Nice to have

• Font-only logo with some separation between "Dwyer" and "IQ." Optional tagline feature. I envision my primary logo to not have any tagline or slogan, but that I could add taglines like division names in the future. Elements like the Dot in the center of the "Q" to convey friendly, open, and high intelligence. Border or some effect to make the logo stand out somewhat like a badge, especially for use as a clearly readable, yet small logo on a physical device (think like a high end SONY audio amplifier or expensive electronics test equipment (like RIGOL) that the owner is proud to own.). The logo will also be used online and in software (e.g. title screen). A future project could involve developing icon sets and a web site design. Blue as a key color, associated with the creator personally and believed to be the best color for the company. The design should be “open” in the sense that it could be used for almost any sort of technical business that I might get into.. Sort of like a General Electric that has different divisions. However, it should be perceived as a company that has high intellect that provides extremely high quality products… and indicates that AI is a big part of the process here at DwyerIQ.

Should not have

• A few submissions so far closely resemble my sketch. I respectfully reject these and encourage you to revisit the design brief for inspiration. I'm looking for fresh, creative takes. The Q in the logo should not look like the Target Store logo. Please try to creatively avoid that. My sketch is just an example and I am sure there are more clever ideas such as the AI star!
