Logo Design Brief

Our church is moving to a new location. I would like to use that opportunity to refresh our logo. Our current logo looks a bit dated (and unfortunately, more like a vault to me!). I would prefer something more intuitive to those seeking a church. The name of our church (The Door Church) comes from the words of Jesus spoken in John 10:9 "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, they will be saved"...my design preferences toward the minimalistic.

I will upload:
1) current logo
2) current logo with text
3) basic idea of what I would like new logo to look like (I need help to fine-tune the exact colors and find what fonts that would work best.)

The logo will be on our building signage, website, app, letterhead, and merch.
