Logo Design Brief
I'm opening a local yarn shop that will focus on fostering a fiber arts community. To start, I need a logo that will look great on a large sign/window but also in smaller scale on labels and such. The store will be modern but also have a cottage core feel. I want a welcoming/warm colors. The store will be called A Skein Away and will have a large focus on building a fiber arts community.

A few more details:
The storefront will be in an old stone building (warm light yellow ish is the best way I can describe the stone color) with big bay windows and a purple front door (think rich lavender). High ceilings, wooden floors and some pretty vintage crown molding type wall sconces. I hope to have a logo and brand that match the overall esthetics of the building.
We will sell both boutique yarns from indie dyers as well as some affordable but nice yarn. While sale of yarn will be our main revenue, there will be a great deal of effort put into social events at the store. Knit nights, demos, and classes will be recurring themes. A strong focus on building the fiber arts community. I hope to have a cozy welcoming sitting area for people to come in and just enjoy being in the store.
