Logo Design Brief

I need a logo designed for a company in the Chicago area named Elite Shears. I am a sole proprietor who travels to hair salons to sharpen hair cutting shears, and sell new shears. My clients are mostly women stylists. I work predominantly in hair salons, but also do some work in barbershops. Most stylists are concerned about trusting their equipment to a sharpener they haven't tried. Their scissors can be very expensive and they can be destroyed very quickly if the sharpener doesn't know what they are doing. The final design should convey I am trustworthy, professional, knowledgeable, experienced.

I don't have a specific color in mind. I personally gravitate towards blues, purples, reds, and silver.

The logo will will be used on a website and for business cards. I am also looking for website and business card designs.
