Can I add a little to the brief by answering a few simple questions?
Preferred colors?
Style? Try to describe it in your own words (without cliches - "I want it to inspire confidence". The Apple logo is unlikely to inspire confidence if you cut off the company's reputation and fame) what do you expect from a logo?
Font? Serif/sans serif? Briefly for clarity - serifs are used to convey tradition, aristocracy and all that. Sans serifs are about technology, dynamism, novelty, modernity and all that. Of course, these are not mandatory and not unconditional rules, but it is worth keeping in mind.
Form - with/without an icon? Just a special font (be careful here. Few people draw fonts from scratch here, and fonts have a license and this should be taken into account).
Heraldry, symbolism, minimalism, abstraction or something else?
Understand correctly. Without this, you are doomed to receive several hundred identical logos, which can hardly be called exclusive, personal. The one and only.

A great question, I would prefer bold colors, no pastels (I like deep blues & olive or Army greens) If I could accurately describe it would incorporate the ideals that have made me successful: Patient growth, logic and success. Font should be between Comic Sans and Times New Roman. Serious and professional, but humble enough to know that we can all learn something from anyone. Icon please and please ignore what I said in my initial istructions about including my initials.
