Logo Design Brief

Our band Moon Mirage needs a logo for our brand identity. The logo would then be used on social media, banners, t-shirts and other merchandise. We are a band of 2 boys and 2 girls with an average age of 25 years, that play a mixture of many styles of music, but we can mainly be categorized as alternative, indie and pop rock. We came up with our band name when we saw the reflection of the moon on the water one night at the lake so it would be nice, if that could flow into the logo design.

For our band, we need a lettering of the band name (Moon Mirage) on the one hand and a graphic representation of a moon on the other. The band came up with the idea of the moon melting, which for us would reflect the aerial phenomenon that is a mirage. A combination of lettering and graphics would also be important to us.

Timelessness, simplicity and uniqueness are important to us in design. The logo should attract attention and be memorable.

The logo should attract people no matter of age, music taste etc. Colourwise, we feel strongly drawn to violet/purple.

So to summ it up we need a band logo that represents our music but can stand on its own as a cool graphic design.
