Logo Design Brief
Please be creative and original in your submission. This logo will be painted full-scale on a gorgeous 125-year-old, two story, downtown commercial property with no obstructions and constant traffic.
Blue Collar Bodywork uniforms are modified mechanic’s shirts. Logo must represent this business is a Bodyshop for the Body and look good on the shirts. If a 1930’s or 40’s automobile service station had a baby with a modern-day pain clinic, that’s who we are!
Open to a cool, new vintage and retro concepts.

Blue Collar Bodywork is a franchise wellness clinic specializing in pain-science through manual therapies and integrative medicine. We're passionate in our business model to fill the gap between conventional medicine and individuals suffering with acute or chronic pain, injuries, illness and disease.
The clinic currently provides hands-on modalities such as deep-tissue massage, myoskeletal alignment, structural integration, manual lymphatic drainage, prenatal therapies, and sports medicine.
We are expanding to offer monthly subscription plans for laser and light therapies, cryotherapy, IV infusions, and hydromassage as an alternative to medication between clinic sessions. Our branded pain-relief products and tools will be sold in-clinic and online.
As a rural health and wellness provider we consider ourselves a lifestyle center for 'salt of the earth' individuals and their families whose income is dependent on their physical ability to work.
Although we offer state of the art technologies, cutting edge science-based treatments, and upscale facilities, it's important our look and feel are simple and appeal to our blue collar demographic.
Updates
The logo should incorporate a Rod of Asclepius. Instead of wings please design with a collar and the arms of a mechanic shirt. Go for it! It's going to look so cool, and be on the side of a 3 story building downtown! Colors will be Red, White and Blue. My preference of Blue is on the lighter side vs Royal or Navy.

What works: Red, White and Blues in Retro shades from the 30's and 40's.
What doesn't work: The quality of submissions. Files I posted in the brief are for inspiration of the time period. I do not want a traced copy. I do not want something that looks like clipart or generic.
What I want: A logo original and representative of my wellness collective. We are manual therapists, physical therapists and nurses who dress the part of 1940s mechanics. Except we maintain bodies, not cars. We are predominantly female. The clinic uses modern technology and therapies, but the interior and exterior design step back into the early 1900s.
This logo must meet the quality standards to be a mural on the side of our brick downtown building. The building and surrounding buildings are all 125+ years old. The city will not allow modern or poor quality designs.
