This is a logo design for a research team in the School of Social Work at Boston College. Our name is the "THRIVE lab". THRIVE is an acronym for Transformative Health Research in Vibrant Communities.
Our team conducts research at the intersection of social work and public health. Our research focuses on the development of family- and community-based programs to support wellbeing. We have two studies: one study looks at health in our local Latino community. The other study looks at the role that fathers play in their children's lives.
We'd like to see colorful designs that incorporate diverse and abstractly depicted people (communities/families), and the concept of thriving (botanicals, growth, life).
We’d like rich jewel tones / aesthetically pleasing color palettes. We want the design to communicate the connectivity between strong family and community relationships and positive outcomes such as a healthy lifestyle, nutrition, and holistic wellbeing.
“THRIVE” is the focal point, with smaller/wrapping text of the fully spelled out name.
Elements that we do NOT want: imagery of hands/open palms/etc; hyper realistic images of people; color palettes that are too “Crayola” or child-like.
