Logo Design Brief
We are a leading Swiss Gas Ballooning Team and we participate in competitions all around the World. We need a logo which depicts the spirit of Gas Ballooning (clouds, freedom, adventure, technology, free air etc.) and indicates our roots as a Swiss team (Switzerland, Swiss flag etc.). The logo should be easy to be sticked or printed on jackets and t-Shirts etc. In the past, we created a new logo every year before participating in the World Championship (the so-called Gordon Bennett Race), but this has become too cumbersome and expensive. We want to have strong, fun, serious logo which can survive for years. I upload files to show you how a gas balloon looks like
Updates
Thank you guys for the first round of designs. Even though a few designs go into the right direction, however, I am not too happy with the outcome, in general. I find most designs too sloppy and superficial (to be frank)Here a few general remarks:
1. Please don't confuse the shape of a gas balloon (round, a small appendix on the lower end, load ring, more load ropes) with the shape of a hotair balloon (more pear shaped, a mound on the lower end, mor bolbeous) - please inform yourself on the internet instead of just paste'n copying the first general ballon shapes you find somehere on the internet. That's just too easy and too superficial, sorry. And, please, don't try to create and weird shaped balloon form which look like light bulbs and such - a gas balloon is a very classy aircraft with a very distinct shape.
2. Balloons never fly at an angle - any design with a balloon shape at an angle will be deleted
3. Please don't invent anything like "SGT" as an apbbreviation for Swiss Gasballoon Team. This was never part of the brief and is outside of scope
4. The Swiss Flag is square and the Swiss cross has defined dimensions and a defined red - you cannot just take any gross or +-sign,. Flag dimension must be respected.
5. Please don't overcrowd the designs - keep it lofty, airy and elegant. It also can be a design with, e.g., only one color which works on all kinds of backgrounds.
6. I expect a design wich is sophisticated, calm, classical, fine and pleasing - not just something I could created on the kitchen table myself.
6. I have not briefed you to design the envelope of the balloon itself. So, please, dont depict your designs as a logo on the balloon itself.
Lots of pictures of gasballoons and the spirit of free flight can be found on https://www.flickr.com/photos/airsports_fai/collections/72157691453069042/ (but, please, don't get confused by the occasional picture of a hotair balloon which also appears)
Thank you - and keep the good work up.

Nice to have
- Swiss Flag, maybe a reference to clouds, sky
Should not have
- Please don't confuse the shape of a hotair balloon (more slim, pear shape) with the one of a gas balloon; and please don't put the shape of a balloon in an angle, balloons never fly in an angle. And please don't construct an abbreviation like "SGT" or such.
