Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a sporting clays club based in West Virginia. The logo shall incorporate some traditional shooting clay references; shotguns, shotgun shells, orange clay targets, etc. Ideally the logo will have 2 orange clay targets crossing in the background or bursting as if it has been shot. The logo needs to include a small outline of the state of West Virginia and a background of mountains with a primary color palette of green and orange. The letter font should be either block, script, or a combination. References of similar logos are provided that have desirable features.

Updates

We have a selection of designs that have been determined as finalists but are going through the last bit of revisions from latest feedback given. By now a very select few designers have been contacted to inform them if their logo has been selected and last adjustments for a final submission to determine the winner. To be fair and provide these designers time to make the requested changes we are extending the deadline by a few days to accommodate. No additional designers will be considered from this point.

Must have

• The logo shall incorporate some traditional shooting clay references; shotguns, shotgun shells, orange clay targets, etc. It should also include a small outline of the state of West Virginia and a background of mountains and trees.

Nice to have

• We would like to have 2 orange sporting clays to be in the sky of the background, possibly bursting like a firework as the target has been shot. Only 2 sporting clays are in the air at the same time and they are released sequentially and in different flight path directions.

Should not have

• Do not include images of people, dogs or birds in the logo. Do not use gradient colors in the wordmarks.
