Graphic Design Brief
We need an 1m x 1.4 meter perforated design. The design should be abstract and should align well with itself when placed side by side and top to bottom. The panel is a shade panel and should be about 35% perforated space and 65% porous space. It will be framed by attachments and supports. Challenge - it should have larger (some or all) openings near the top so that warm air can flow up and out of those, acting as vents. I'm guessing that they could be somewhere between 8 and 12 cm's in a maximum open space. The lower could be flipped when placed vertically , so as to provide continuity of forms - being mindful that when doing this, larger holes will appear lower on spaces where these are used as outdoor wall shades. Shapes can be circles and/or shapes with smooth curves. This is a green building application and the design will be laser cut into corten or aluminum. Ultimately, whether than panels sit horizontally or vertically, it might work well if they work together as a puzzle would, or that they look great in appearance otherwise, arranged in those ways. They will be cut to fit in some applications. They should be fairly uniform and not have large areas open to light passage and other large areas blocked to light. Minimum perforation diameters should be around 2cm's, potentially smaller. Shown at the top is an example of how the panel will appear on a residence facade and the 2nd image is an example of a side. We can't get too wild - fairly clean and contemporary please. Thank you!
