Logo Design Brief
In this instance, Vessel is being used to mean a container for transformation—- the offering of a Vessel for the body and being to unfold, as well as places and spaces (interior design). This company’s team is comprised of two a interior designers, a master craftsperson, and three holistic health practitioners who are all body workers (massage, facials, energy medicine) as well as coaches of various kinds— from movement to energy psychology. The center has a small apothecary and product line as well—- this logo will likely be used on skincare/bodycare products as well.
I want something that harkens to a womb with a spark inside or a mortar and pestle—- something rounded and “containing” mixed with something piercing or penetrating. Yin/Yang. I’d like the logo in black and white. For font, I like very classic traditional clean letters that might lean towards an architectural feel. The company branding is a juxtaposition of extreme masculine and feminine—- fleshy, yet fastidious. I also like the name written as VeSSeL— so playing with the font/capitalization is ok. I’ve also like the idea of using the V as a container and playing with that.
The file images included are just an example of a feel I like— specifically the more prominent brush stroke/ink with the circular/open background. That being said, I like many feels, including much more floral or feminine. I want to avoid the overly minimal “clean” feel that has dominated the holistic industry and instead go for classic, yet mysterious… somewhat Old World.
Target Market(s)
We’d like to work with others in our fields and provide services for them as well as challenging and interesting projects. Most of the team is neurodivergent with high IQs and expertise and prefers intimacy and intensity over popularity and mass appeal. We are looking to target specialization and customization over broad appeal. Very Niche.
