Why is the winner you chose not in accordance with the brief you gave? while the brief you gave Full color design towards black, not Grey Scale? it's your right but can you explain it?

In my brief I specify "I would prefer my geometric idea for "RD" but if you think you can make the name of the company work in this theme, then please go for it."

What abaut This

tldr: The logo should start colorful and end in darkness to fit the company name. No gradients, color changes should happen geometrically

Geometric shapes that transition from colorful to black/near-black.

You should revise your brief, by removing the word colorful, because all designers think about making designs with lots of colors, not just black like the winning design you chose, but again, it is your right to choose a design that suits your company.

I had an idea of what I wanted, someone created something I liked, I chose that. Stop taking it so personally.

This is not talking about personal problems, this is about consistency and consequences. Once again, it's up to your taste and right to choose who the winner is. You need to know and underline, we designers work based on the directions given by the client. It's like, if we were asked to design a house, we would design the house as best as possible, not design a bridge.
