Design Brief
Background: I need a logo design for a small consulting business I have been running for the last year. The business is called "Redline Consulting Group" and my web domain is www.rcgonline.com.au and my email address is amanda@ rcgonline.com.au
As an ex-military officer, I deliver consulting services and leadership training to a range of predominantly emergency services providers - Police, Fire Agencies, Ambulance and Paramedics and Disaster Response Agencies. Drawing on my military experience, my business also delivers leadership training in situations characterised by high-threat, high-stress, complex urban and regional environments (think Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan) where decisions must be made quickly and in time-compressed environemnts. I also have a public speaking service within this business and as a female, am a sought after speaker on topics of female leadership in difficult environments.
I have been doing this kind of work on a pro bono basis for three years and am now taking the next step to monetise this work through a paid business model. The business is really designed around me and my own reputation with clients paying for my 30 year military and business career experiences, stories and lessons learned.
In terms of the "look and feel" for my brand, I need something -professional, smart, simple, clear, trusted, strong but understated. I am happy for it to have a bit of an edge - a bit crisp, dynamic and cheeky. When alot of people think of the word REDLINE they often think of danger and fast car driving - pushing something to the limit - so you hit the redline. I don't mind the extremeness of the name, but don't also want clients to think that I am dangerous, or a business that takes extreme risks / is careless. In short, I love my business name, but I don't want it to come across as red and angry and reckless etc.
Things I don't want are : anything overly fussy, fluffy with lots of swirls,
MyTarget Audience of my clientele is : Emergency Services as noted above, Australian Government, Defence, Oil & Gas, Mining and Resources.
