Tattoo Design Brief

I have a quote from one of my favourite books that I would like turned into a tattoo - not the words, but a picture that makes me FEEL the words when I look at it. The chapter that the quote is from is about motherhood and it resonated so so deeply with me. It says - "One of the many lessons I’m learning as a mother, is how to accept that my love cannot be an anchor that drags her beneath the waves. Rather, it must be the deep water itself. Buoyant and clear for her to float in, to swim through, to carry her in it’s currents to shore when it is time for her to leave it as she surely one day will. As she surely one day must."

The design should be blacks and whites only - no colour. I like realism, lots of shading. I also love line tattoos so I'd love to see options in either. I'll attach images of my existing tattoos so you can see what I like.

I have a sunflower, an anatomical heart, a house, and not pictured is my line drawing of a mum and baby bear and a tree with no leaves.

I'm unsure of the placement yet but it will most likely be somewhere on my arms or potentially on my rib cage. Preferably arms though.

Requirements

Must have

• It must have water / ocean / waves and it has to somehow represent the quote I’ve included in the brief. About a mothers love being a buoyant body of water and not let it be an anchor.

Should not have

• Doesn’t have to match any of my existing tattoos. I was simply including them so you could see the styles I already have.
