Logo Design Brief

Looking for something simple and clean. Design should be simple and and similar to Josh Flag logo, feature the name. Chris Russ and possibly have something with initials. I have uploaded Josh Flags logo for inspiration/reference. My old logo is included just to show you what I am trying to improve upon. I am ok with black and white concept. Perhaps some aspects of MD flag can be incorporated into this. Use your creative juices. I am scrapping Helping You Home completely.
