I need a new logo for my company Sam's Safety Equipment. You can read about our 50 year history on our website www.sams-safety.com. Our current logo is that of a stick welder welding our company name with the tag line, Safety Pays Since 1972. Long story why our founding date isn't in the tag line. Basically the old logo is out dated for our current customer base, which is still construction and manufacturing for Oil & Gas, but has diversified to construction, logistics, and off shore service companies. My store is very walk-in friendly and dependent for sales, the website acts more as an online catalog driving large numbers of customers through the front door. The most common remark about our store is that there's "a little bit of everything there."
There isn't another company like us in town, not many safety equipment stores where you can walk in, get fit for a pair of Red Wing Shoes, pick up a hard hat and chin strap, try on a variety of gloves, grab a tape measure, joke about the cowboy hardhat on the wall, pickup your custom embroidered FR coveralls, and drop off your used boots so we can donate them to a local charity that gets drug users clean and back in the workforce. We're active in the community supporting multiple local charities and organizations
I don't want a trendy or flashy logo. I'd prefer something quiet and professional, we're a family-owned business and veteran owned across all three majority owners since we were created. I've used royal blue for the current logo, but it's not a requirement for the new one. We currently use gray polo shirts for staff uniforms, mostly because if we come out of the warehouse after doing a lot of work dust and dirt don't show on it. On these we use an all white logo embroidered.

I appreciate all of the great designs submitted over the last two weeks. They've been very interesting and inspiring to see how others view my business. I wish I could reward everyone that worked hard on their logos. After sending out a poll to vote on to my customers in my monthly newsletter the winner was selected from my customer's top choice. Again, thanks to everyone that submitted their artwork. It has been a great experience for myself and my staff.
