Logo Design Brief

I need a logo desgined for a blog/website which shares stories from London's history. It will include information on London's buildings, places and people. I hope to also use the website to promote my services as a historical researcher. I want the logo to portray a nostalgia for London's history, but be modern and eye catching in it's design.
