Design a cool website that provides just enough information to be intriguing to teenagers who compete in combat sports. The format is to make this an invite-only team of high-school-aged competitors in combat sports (predominately Jiu Jitsu right now). Space Moneys can participate in similar assignments to earn consideration. We are modeled after the Project Mayhem formed in Fight Club and would like to keep that look and feel. The document attached "PM - Ideas and Content for Website" shows our initial thoughts and here is more about us:
Goal - To promote the success of committed teenage Jiu Jitsu competitors who excel through focused preparation and deliberate practice.
Why - Prove the core principles of success.
How - Success is its own reward and always entails an element of the unknown/uncontrollable. We reward preparation. Setting clear goals (SMART), deliberate practice, building mental models (domain specific knowledge), restorative recovery, nutritional coaching, power of teaching others, sports science (strength & conditioning), expert guidance, personalized development plans, accountability, Quantified Self, gamification and competitive challenges. What - We will win at the highest of levels across the fight world by applying the general principles of success. These lessons will be carried with them to other areas of their lives.
Our primary goal with the website would be to share our company’s mission statement and promote the success of our sponsored athletes.
The only social media account we have currently is Instagram's @projectmayhemG2 (recently established). If you want more of an idea for what our online presence should feel like, then I would suggest watching these two scenes from Fight Club:
Recruiting: This scene shows the process for joining Project Mayhem: https://youtu.be/fbjQypBmViA
Project Mayhem Assignments: This shows how assignments are handed out for members to accomplish: https://youtu.be/UsyzD5IvxmQ
Project Mayhem Color Assignment: This is their first large assignment and where the green color comes from: https://youtu.be/dao9q65hhVs
It is also worth noting that "less is more" considering the first rule is, "you do not talk about..." That should carry over to our website and social media presence. We want to share just enough to be intriguing to inquiring minds and motivational for members, but no more.
I have uploaded a bunch of content, but just wanted to give you a broader idea. Feel free to design as you see fit...
Updates
Please stay tuned for the "burning smiley face" files. I have purchased a rendering of it so we have a proprietary vector image to use on our site. There will also be files for different versions of the Project Mayhem//PM logos for various subcategories. Here is how they are to be applied: Circled = Primary (for main/landing page), Jiu Jitsu = Pyramid, Wrestling = Traditional, Muay Thai = Rolled, and Legacy PM = Original (coming soon).
