Logo Design Brief
We provide training services and training materials for the North American Railroad Industry. Target audience includes training departments and trainers at mostly freight railroads and a little to passenger railroads, repair shops, manufacturers serving our industry, and other industry that use railroads and need some types of railroad related training or information. We are moving from an analog product base toward offering more digital products. We want a logo that will help us transform into the digital era.
Individuals within these organizations could include HR personnel, supervisors at all levels that work with people performing maintenance on freight cars, locomotives, track, signaling and other work.
We've been in the railroad industry for over 100 years.
We are looking for a feel that is slightly on the masculine side, abstract, modern, stable.
Please see the attached creative brief for more information. You do not need to follow the last page of examples literally. Mainly, we're looking for a combination logo with the text 'reb' and a symbol on the side. The symbol on top would be fine, but our preference is to the side.
We are not locked into a specific colors.
We think we would rather see a lowercase 'reb' as opposed to uppercase.
I selected sans serif font below because we think it would generally look better, but a serif font might be OK to - depends on the font.
We are currently working on a new website to roll out along with the new logo.
