Logo Design Brief

I have a logo, and I really like the design. This will be used for a Christian meditation app. The Elements I like are: the cross, the sun, and the sun rays.
Why I want it changed: the brush-stroke style is nice, but I'm looking for a style that's more modern, mature, and refined.
