Logo Design Brief

We're looking for a logo to represent a brand of apartments / rental units in the south beach area. The accent color as of now is #CCFFFF but this could change a little bit. A compass integrated into the logo would be an option with a timeless feel to match the South Beach Miami vibe. Also looking for a little bit of depth to the logo and not just a flat modern design. We'd like to see the brand name used in two variations, South Beach Apartments and South Beach Apts. Attached is the original logo, this in no way should be used as the benchmark, but to show compass ideas.
