Book Cover Design Brief
We have had some book covers drafted by some freelancers on Fiverr, but they just miss the mark a little bit.
This book is a Horse Training Book, but also entails a lot of mindfulness and attunement practices. Focus on effective Fonts.
We will be using Ingram Sparks. We want a paperback and hardback cover.
Specs: 5.50 x 8.50 inches
Pages: 250
I have uploaded the Fiverr drafts as well as some drafts that I have made. We're looking for a tooled leather look, we want the title to look as if it was stamped into the leather background, but also make it easy to read the back print. I have attached multiple inspirations, but we don't just want you to use these, we want you to create something unique from them.
FRONT COVER TEXT
Title: The Principles of Training
Subtitle: Understanding the relationship between you and your horse, and why effective training works.
Author: Warwick Schiller
BACK COVER TEXT
Quote: “As to methods there may be a million and then some, but Principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble.” - Harrington Emerson Early 20th Century Efficiency Expert
Book Overview: In The Principles of Training, Warwick Schiller describes the 12 principles that all successful horsemen and women use to effectively train horses. After 30 years of training, Warwick discovered a 13th principle that, when integrated with the others, makes you the best person to train your horse.
Book Review: “Warwick has a unique ability to understand both horse and rider from the inside out as he helps them individually - and together. Strong relationships come from trust and perceiving the other from their point of view. Horses do this naturally; fortunately for us, Warwick gives us humans the tools to understand ourselves and our horses.”
-Barbra Schulte, Cowgirl Hall of Fame Inductee
