Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for a new small boutique hotel in Luang Prabang, Laos called Baan 36. (Baan means home). We have created a calming modern yet retro space thats bright and colourful and using light natural wood furniture and bamboo/rattan finishings. The atmosphere is like a classy, calm oasis. Our small hotel is light and airy with beautiful tropical plants and local art/illustrations and crafts. The interior is white and grey highlighted with splashes of pink, turquoise, yellow and pastels. Its designed by two women so it has quite a feminine feeling. We would like to see creative designs that are inspired by the retro style of the building and that reflects asia. The logo should feature the name of the hotel in english and lao language. We also offer cocktails, breakfast and coffee. the owner is french and english and Lao.

Hello Everyone! Thanks for the interest in our hotel project. We are very grateful and impressed by the hardwork and time that has been spent developing ideas and creating logos.
Its a hard project as it combines opposing aesthetics...modern yet inspired by vintage. We love the designs that are inspired by the aesthtetic of an Asian calligraphic stamp whilst reflecting the icons of hotel/home/bar/coffee shop. We are looking for something that is highly artistic and creative, that communicates a sense of Asia, that creates a sense of class and sophistication. We love the designs that play with the font, the lao font is so beautiful, we urge you to look at vintage Thai topography and signage . I found a nice picture of a glphs board have a look in the folder of images. With our name we have the "AA" here we have a nice chance to create shapes and play with that. Many Thanks
