Logo Design Brief

I have a small publishing LLC that I named after the last aircraft I flew in the Army. The MH-47G. I use the company to publish my books (have written 3 with more to come). I need a logo for the LLC that will go in the books, on the website, and, most importantly, on a baseball hat. It needs to be a design that evokes the twin-rotor helicopter's shape, including the refuel probe, but not be so accurate that it pisses off Boeing and gets me sued. it should be evocative of the aircraft, not a direct diagram. I would like it to be monochromatic so that it goes easily on the hat, website etc.

• Some stylized graphical reference to the chinook helicopter.

Nice to have

• the chinook helicopter is a very distinctive design with the twin rotors and refuel probe. Also, I like an "old school" aviation feeling.

• to much of a military vibe
