Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a standalone website for our bakery, for online sales of traditional holiday baking products.

the website will be www.fruitcakeplus.com

It does not exist at that location yet, but is at beta with our designer.

The product marketing is built upon ‘nostalgia marketing’ – espousing positive and familiar concepts from the past to build trust, to associate our brand and products with their fond memories of Christmas past. Devotees of each of our product have a nostalgic attraction to these products, either for themselves, or a family member – that resonates strongly with ‘the feeling of christmas’: the elusive feelings of comfort and security that are triggered by positive concepts or ideas of the past. On the site we want to tap into the collective ‘false memory’ of traditional values of European family gatherings, respect for elders, kinship, festive celebration, the passing of the year, fireplaces– basically all the hallmarks of Christmas except piety or religiosity. (the site will NOT feature Christianity symbols ( no manager scenes, 3 wise men or such) or commercialistic/consumeristic imagery ( no Santa Claus, candy canes, reindeer). Hearth, family, home, is the vibe we are hoping to convey

Our product range is based on real ingredients, handmade with real european techniques, no preservatives etc

This site will be used on social media to sell traditional christmas baking online with quick fulfillment through postal services or couriers.

Our corporate slogan is 'Simply Better', which you may or may not use at your discretion.

The attached pdf is our splash page. The red heart logo in the corner is what you are replacing - that is the logo for our bakery which we will not be using on this site.
