Logo Design Brief
A few years ago I started my coaching practice, which I name Keetie Sijm Coaching after my own name. Now that I am growing and my business is a real serious business, I believe that it is time for a new name and a new design.
The new name of my business will be De Coachkeet. Keet is a typical Dutch name and for me it has two meanings. One is that my name is Keetie and the abreviation (or nickname) that my friends usually use is Keet. So as Keetie is the Coach it is also a wink towards the world. The other is that a Keet is more or less a name in Dutch for a certain place (I think it is Shack in English). A place where you can come, relax, can be yourself but most of all feel safe and free. A place where different things are happening, whether it is a workshop where you go at night where you make boodboards, or a session where you dive more deep into yourselve, learn about yourself and be confronted with yourself. A place where you want to go to (also if you know that it sometimes is not easy), a warm place.
The name has come up when I was thinking of setting up my own coaching practice a few years ago, but the name Coachkeet also sounds a little bit less serious, so that was why I decided not to go for that name in the 1st place. However, now that I know that I am a good coach, that I am a good professional, I can step closer towards myself and use the name that I already thought of earlier. The name that really fits me, perhaps especially since the name is not too serious (but stays in your head for ever when you once heard it!).
The logo that I am looking for should first of all be a very simple logo. So I am thinking of simple and bright letter type and just a few lines that for example represent the shack. However, I also want it to be a logo to remember.
I will attach some collors samples that I think does fit the design, I think max 2 collors would be best.
What is important to mention is that my coaching practice is located in a small house in my big green garden. The house is dark blue and a simple house with a lot of light. This is another reason why I believe De Coachkeet is the right name for my coaching practice! I will also add some pictures of this place (inside and outside) as this may inspire you.
