Logo Design Brief

We need a new logo for Whetstone Ventures, a technology company that builds data-centric products and solutions for risk assessment and operational efficiency. We also do strategic advisement work for startups and make "investments" by providing our expertise and implementation services in exchange for equity.

We picked the name Whetstone because a whetstone is used for sharpening knives, and our goal is to help our clients "sharpen" their operations. We are ruthlessly efficient in helping our clients optimize their businesses using data and technology. The logo should communicate professionalism, modernity, somewhat startup-y or "bleeding edge". Simple, to-the-point. Bold.
