Logo Design Brief

My family and I have been dreaming of owning a sailing catamaran and traveling this way for about 8 years. We finally are close to our goal and our boat will be ready in a few short months. Now, we need a boat logo to put on the sides of our boat, on our coffee mugs, and possibly on other materials. We have decided to call the Boat Boketto. This is a Japanese word that means "gazing vacantly into the distance without really thinking about anything specific." This word embodies the idea that with the overcrowded and hurried lives we lead, it can refresh the mind to go wandering, with no destination in particular. We currently live in Alaska, so in the boat logo that will go on business cards and on the side of the boat, we would like to incorporate mountains or something very Alaska in the background, with the ocean and sunset somehow in there also. Having a person gazing into the distance would be great. We also would like the boat name to be under/incorporated into the logo, (Boketto), as well as the Japanese characters above the name. I am attaching the japanese symbols that we prefer to use. Boat logos can be varied, so I attached several examples of logos on the type of boat we will be getting.
