Vector Design Brief

Village People is a new cafe', pizza shop. We are looking to create a character that will be the symbol of our brand. We have chosen a pigeon. I will add a couple of example of similar projects. We are open for suggestions but we are thinking that we would like a Pigeon headed person (see example of giraffe). We would to create a tattoo flash of the "pigeon" doing different things (sipping coffee, eating pizza etc.). Ultimately the design would be in evolution and maybe become a gif for a website, an animation for a instagram post, a sticker for our branded coffee, a stamp for our pizza boxes.
We have chosen a pigeon because there is not much online about them. There is a link between the name "village people" and the pigeon as a symbol of NY. Also our main focus is Italian food and it has a kind of European feel. Also Pigeons are also deemed a pest and dirty. Which is also a salute to our former business DIRTYS BURGERS which was destroyed in the recent flood. It kind of fitted with our story and our branding reputation. • Very simple design not too detailed. Some human characteristics eg. hairy legs, eyes with lashes, hands, legs . We want it to be fun.

Nice to have

• holding a slice of pizza, or drinking coffee

Should not have

• too many details.
