We're a new music group specializing in "early music" (i.e., music from the 17th and 18th centuries) in Houston. Our name, Harmonia Stellarum (harmony of the stars) comes from a 17th-century music textbook linking the order of the universe with harmony in music. On the one hand, this is a reference to our home town Houston, the space city. On the other hand it hints at the fact that looking at the stars is looking into the past (i.e., in our case, music of the past).
The only star constellation that refers to music is the "lyra" (see attached picture), often depicted as six stars on lyre (see second picture), so we thought a simplified version of this could be part of our logo.
Other than that, we're looking for a modern, elegant, simplistic, black/white logo.
