Logo Design Brief

Need a logo design for upscale wax studio and candle company based in San Diego, CA. We will be selling handmade, luxury container candles and wax creations. Branding is loosely based on The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland - upscale, sophisticated, with a quirky artistic edge. Final design should be an invitation to an exclusive, luxurious experience.

Feel: Vintage (1800s) with modern twist, luxury, edgy, unexpected, handmade quality goods

Graphics: Dark academia, candle, mad maker

Colors: Black and white, packaging will likely use black/white stripes

Not sure if I want tag line included in logo: Wax Studio & Candle Co.

I LOVE the Millinery logo example I've included, but would prefer horizontal layout.
