Logo Design Brief

Hello, I am a student at the University of Missouri and I am working on a unique project entitled, “Join The Adventure”. This project is simply an “expedition” (if you will), which will advocate for environmental awareness and promote outdoor related activities amongst minority and youth groups. We will travel to different national parks and discover the environmental issues surrounding each park, and how we can fix these issues. We will also partake in the fun activities that each park will have to offer to show why we should want to protect these magnificent places. Most importantly, we will document these experiences in a candid, relatable way that appeals to my generation (youth). I was lucky enough to get in contact with the head of the Photojournalism program here at Mizzou; He was able to assist me in recruiting 3 amazing photographers to join this project. In addition to this, I was also able to get in contact my News Director, and he has agreed to supervise and air this project on certain newscasts. Essentially, it will be a “Weekly Travel Segment” of sorts. So, as you could imagine, I am currently in the market for a logo! I would like to use this logo for the website that will be created to promote this project, watermarks for our videos, and to put on apparel. As far as the actual design goes; I would like it to be "Join The Adventure" (horizontal, like a sentence). But, I would like the letters to be in grass... and maybe have a grass stem represent the "T" in "Adventure"... And maybe have a period and the end of this phrase, but have the period be an actual globe. I want the globe to have detail in it, and would like it to have a sort of "fun" feel. As far as a background goes, I want it to be very simple; perhaps maybe arches of mountains, or something outdoors"y". I will let the designer be creative with the background, font, and overall color scheme, simply because I'm real unsure on what would work best with the overall design. I do know that I want the look of it to have clean lines, I want it to be "WITTY" in it's design. If I had to describe how I want the logo to look in one word, that would be it.

One thing I DO NOT want is for this design to have a kind of corporate feel. I want it to depict how the project itself will be; fun, and candid.

Now, if you have a totally different design idea that may fit with my project, feel free to submit those as well. FEEL FREE TO BE CREATIVE!
