Logo Design Brief
The Captain Loomis Restaurant needs a logo to help us brand our restaurant. WE are seeking a logo that will be easily recognizable and that we can use across all media sources, including, but not limited to: our server's T-shirts, billboards, menu covers, and our facebook and website.
The restaurant will be historical in nature. It was originally opened by Capt. John Loomis in the mid-1840's as The Loomis House. They served food and had a hotel. Capt Loomis was killed in the Civil War. The building has been added on to over the years but the main part of the building is still the original Loomis House. (now called The Captain Loomis Restaurant) Our décor will be country motif with a historical theme. We will feature pictures of the civil war as well as old Clarion. We will also have civil war and local history trivia cards at each table. Our drinking glasses will be mason jars.
The food we will be serving will be comfort food (fried chicken, meatloaf), homemade pastas, steaks, and seafood.
We would like our logo to represent that we are a historical site but we do not want it to be dull. Our dining room will be inviting, interesting, and clean. We want to portray fresh. Fresh food (we are cooking nothing from frozen), fresh look (we remodeled the whole kitchen and inside) and fresh start (the restaurant had a bad reputation from previous owners, it's been closed since July)
