Logo Design Brief

I require a new logo for rolling out a new brand for our legal business. We are a law firm who does mainly court based law including Criminal defence law, family law, childrens cases.
We want to be seen as approachable, young, modern and professional.
We are based in Dundee with a eye to opening in Edinburgh soon.
We would like to see a new revolutionary design that will be different to the usual traditional law firm model. The Logo should be eye catching and not have to have the full name if it doesnt seem necessary ie D and M Law instead.
A big part of our client base will be on or from social media so sonething that stands out would be necessary.
We are hoping to attract new clients for both private and legal aid work.
We are hoping for a still a professional look but with a twist and colours that will help to show that we are experts in the field.
A thought for the tagline would be "In your corner"
